Syngenta, the world-leading plant science company, contacted Acoustic Comfort when they experienced acoustic problems in a newly refurbished breakout area.
The hard surfaces within the new multi-functional space at their Bracknell site caused so much reverberation that the space could not comfortably be used as intended.
Reverb 25 wall panelling was installed to reduce the reverberation, covered in a fabric to match the existing informal furniture. Strips were integrated within the coloured panels to allow the attachment of flipchart paper with magnets.
In addition 16 sound absorbing ceiling islands were installed following the slope of the ceiling; being white they blended in with the ceiling to maintain the open feeling within the space.
In a smaller meeting room used for teleconferencing a large Reverb 25 panel with an image of crops reduced reverberation, but at the same time added much needed interest to an otherwise featureless wall. |
